Before & After: Table into Bench

Want to figure out how to turn this old table

into this pretty bench?

It's true, that is really the same table, just painted and covered with fabric. I promise it happened. Look!

I want to make my own! If you would like to do the same, click HERE for step by step details on how to make one of these pretty little numbers for your bedroom, living room, or any other place your little heart desires!

Lasagna Soup

Hi all.

I'm on a crazy soup kick at the moment, so let me warn you, I may be blasting you some AWESOME soup recipes for the next few weeks.

I found this recipe for Lasagna Soup (I know, how delicious does it sound) over on no other than pinterest and decided to test it out.

And let me tell you... it was ABSOLUTELY delicious. The only difference in the recipe we made was using tiny shell noodles (because we figured they would be easier to eat) and we also used ground turkey instead of sausage. I also like to top all of my soups with reduced fat tortilla chips, which is ridiculous, I know. But if you would like to go the normal people route and stick with the Italian themed meal, I'm sure some homemade garlic bread would be absolutely delicious as well.

Go try it, seriously. It is heaven in a bowl!

A Little Bit of Inspiration

After my trip to New York, I have that travel bug. Lots of things are on my list at the moment, but some serious savings will definitely be going on in the next few months for my next big trip. Paris is the next stop, of course.

What about you guys? Any places you are dying to see?

Paris, Please.

Antler Art

I inherited an extremely real and extremely awesome set of deer antlers, still attached to the skull & everything, I might add, from a family friend of mine who owns a Native American Indian store. He gave me the gift due to my love for the rustic pieces, however they are still sitting in my closet due to my lack of knowledge on how to actually hang them up! I have decided to finally stop procrastinating on the project and put my awesome gift to some good use!

I will probably end up painting the entire set white & attaching them to a neon painted plaque to hang on my wall, but I decided to find some DIY antler project inspiration before hand on etsy just in case....and I found some really cool ideas.

Color Blocking

So many choices to consider. This project is on my list of things to tackle this week. I'll share some pictures when I'm done. Until then, I'm taking any other suggestions!

Kitchen Love

I found this kitchen that I'm completely lusting for over on Better Homes and Gardens today, and I'm pretty sure I would give a leg, an arm, and probably a few fingers as well to have a kitchen that looked just like this one.

I've always been a lover of classic, white kitchen cabinets, but I think I could really get on board with the idea of having a twist on the classic kitchen with a few rows of gray cabinets. I'm still not budging on the marble counter tops though, so good thing this kitchen has them for me!

The styling in this kitchen is impeccable. The hood range keep the trendy cabinets feeling very traditional, and the hardware and light fixtures add a little bling to the room. The touches of magenta are the perfect accent to the cabinet colors, and don't even get me started on the ceramic oval patterned back splash! Genius.
