paprika pencil holder

QUICK IDEA:

Don't throw away your spice tins! They are so bright and adorable, and make for an easy DIY project with really....nothing much to do! How cute is this paprika pencil jar? By adding a magnet to the back or simply leaving it be, you can quickly turn this spice holder into a pencil holder and place it on your fridge or on your counter for when you need a pencil to write down a new delicious recipe or note.

stunning costa rica home

It's always been a dream of mine to go to Costa Rica, and once I came across this sleek, modern home that sits upon an ocean view cliff in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, the travel bug inside me screamed, "WE NEED TO GOOOOO!". Now when I think of a Costa Rican house, I don't necessarily picture a contemporary-styled home, but I think I could get used to a house like this.

Now if the floor to ceiling windows with the amazing, spectacular, BREATHTAKING view doesn't do it for you, how about the infinity pool with the swim up bar, the two huge patios for entertaining, or the indoor ponds? Take a look for yourself and let me know what you think.

neutral palette

I know I'm always getting on everyone to accept some color in their lives, but believe it or not, I'm a huge neutral lover as well. It's the truth! Just check out these rooms below and you will see why.

The great thing about neutral colors is they can be so inviting and are really a great way to create that cozy feel in your home. And of course, you can't go wrong with neutral shades for your furniture because they can be easily transitioned to different rooms or when you are feeling that need to redecorate. So whether you are looking to play it safe with clean line and whites and beiges, or take a step further by painting gray walls and using fur rugs, the neutral look can work for any design personality.

Forget light pink and baby blue, you're little bundles of joy deserve a a nursery with a little more spunk. While I was performing my daily browse through Pinterest, I came across some of the cutest baby nurseries that I, OF COURSE, just had to share with you guys.

These rooms are filled with elements of color, diversity and projects that you would be able to tackle as a DIY to save some extra cash. Now I KNOW you all like the sound of that!

indoor plants

indoor plants used to be a thing of the past, but they are making their way back and are hotter than ever. indoor plants are a great way to add a pop of vibrant green to otherwise dull decor and it's a cheap and easy way to bring the outdoors in.

dine & divine

dining rooms should be more than just a matching table and chair set. these rooms are typically the main area for entertaining, so why keep it boring? here are some tips on how to make this area of your house the talk of the party

FORMAL DINING ROOM LOOK:
if you are going for a formal dining room, you don't have to have crown molding and wainscoting to get the look (although I have to admit, i am a HUGE fan of the two!). Along with an elegant table and chairs, add a feminine center piece to the table such as a bouquet of flowers, candles or a silver vase. A chandelier (even the fake kind) really tie in the formal look of the room.

QUIRKY ROOMS:
if you are really trying to grab your guests attention, color isn't the only way to go. Try adding interesting elements to your room by having an interesting lamp, multi-colored chairs or even... mixing chairs!

OLD/NEW STYLE:
everyone knows that vintage is in style, but sometimes its hard to make it stylish without the help of some new pieces. when working with a killer vintage find like antique candle holders, keep them fresh with modern furniture. this also works vice versa. (example vintage furniture with modern accessories like lamp shades)

MINIMALIST:
if you're not an accessory fiend like i am, then sticking to modern, contemporary and industrial styles are probably more to your taste. an amazing look is easy to achieve with a few awesome pieces of furniture, an interesting lamp and a piece of artwork or two. simple as that
